We practise most Mondays; But in the summer we alternate practices in the village hall with practices at local pubs - a schedule is posted  below. Regular practices in All Saints Church Hall start again some time in September.

Monday 7th July          Dance out at The Fox Old Down

A good turnout for our summer evening session at this lovely old country pub which we have been coming to for some years now. We were joined by our good friends PigSty Morris and danced before the customers in the beer garden. Also great to see our old friends Carol & Eddy up from Clevedon. An enjoyable evening all round.

It was a good night although it was a bit tight for dancing. Nice Beef Rolls and cheap Beer.

It was a packed event, the weather was great, But and a big But we didn’t dance very well. But it was  nice to meet up with some old friends and those fantastic pork rolls.

After three months of practicing twice a week it’s finally has arrived

After a successful summer of pub dance outs, a dozen members of the side and our entourage of seven embarked on a trip to the Czech Republic.  We would rub shoulders with over 45 other invited folk groups from around the world and would represent our country at the ‘9th International Meeting of Folklore,’ a festival in the beautiful city of Prague.

Just four more paces then we find the treasure.

We have got our shoes on let’s get dancing

Hay! What was that call?

Christmas On The Hill was great fun this year and we all agreed that being part of the procession brought many more people to watch us dance in Fountain Square.

It was "Roland's" first procession and he enjoyed the waving crowds and being the centre of attention, as do we all .

Dancing through a "snow storm" was a first, as was the two large stars we formed at the Broad Street traffic lights...we certainly stopped traffic that day.

A memorable day and hopefully will be part of our Christmas Festivities for the future.

Saturday 6th December     On the Hill  ( Staple Hill )

The question is who, or what caught Vanessa's eye.......

Roland enjoying the crowds on his day out from his Cupboard

Missed it,was that one of Roland's Friends?

Boxing Day is the climax of the year for Winterbourn Down Border Morris. The ladies were sporting new costumes and

The Christmas Boys were triumphant in their usual splendour.

Abbey Road? I don't think so but the new costumes look great!
